10 Dead in Toronto Terror Attack

On April 23, 2018, a man drove his van down the sidewalk with intentions of injuring and killing innocent civilians.
Alek Minassian, drove a rented van through the North York City Centre in Toronto Canada, killing 10 people and injuring 16 more.
Minassian, 25, was charged with 10 counts of first degree murder and 13 accounts of attempted murder.
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, came out on Twitter on April 29 and wrote, “Tonight, Toronto – and all of Canada – remembers and mourns together. #TorontoStrong.”.
This new attack comes on the heels several recent acts of terrorism that have devastated provinces all over the country.
September 30, 2017, Abdulahi Sharif, an Islamic terrorist, drove into a policeman and then stabbed him, and then later on, hit four pedestrians with a rental truck while fleeing from the cops in Edmonton, Canada.
Another act of terror that happened January 29, 2017, when a far-right nationalist entered a mosque in Quebec City during prayer and opened fire, killing six people and injuring 19.
This acts of terror seem to be getting more and more common, but right now, police are still trying to figure out why Minassian carried out his particular act of violence.
Some of the victims’ names have been released, Anne Marie D’Amico, a 30 year old, and Dorothy Sewell, an 80 year old, were just two of the victims that died in the accident.
More evidence has come out he praised Elliot Rodger, who committed a similar act on May 23, 2014, in Isla Vista, California, U.S., 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured fourteen others near the campus of University of California, Santa Barbara, before killing himself inside his vehicle
Minassian, according to NBC, belonged to a Reddit group focused on “Incels,” a shorthand term for people who are “involuntarily celibate.” Self-proclaimed “incels” are an online community of men united by their inability to convince women to have sex with them. It is believed this could be partially the reason for him killing mostly women In his attack.
