The activities fair on September 13th was well attended and filled with students excited about their ideas and passions. If you missed the fair, or got lost in the sea of potential club members, the following is a list of the clubs and their contact information.

Christian Fellowship Club

The Christian Fellowship Club is a new club this year. Club founder Cameron Stanley said of the club: “Anybody can come. Loving others is our main goal here.”
Pride

Pride is Williston’s Gay Straight Alliance. The club welcomes both Allies and members of the LGBT community.
Janus

Janus is Williston’s literary magazine. Janus
is looking for an editorial staff and for contributing writers.
The Log

The Log is Williston’s yearbook. The Log staff takes pictures, designs, and creates the yearbook each year.
Irish Dance Club

The Irish Dance Club is a new organization on campus. “We’ll be having fun and laid back sessions where we will learn and teach Irish dance,” co-founder Katie Murray explained.
Judo Club

“The Judo Club will meet once a week to learn and practice different judo techniques,” club leader Emily Sillars said. “We’ll have lots of fun; everyone is welcome!” she continued.
Gold Key

Gold Key is the tour guide organization at Williston. Participants give occasional tours during their free periods to prospective students.
Classical Music Club

The Classical Music Club is what Tina Zhang describes as “where pop meets classic.” The club is geared towards those that appreciate and are interested in classical music.
Chess Club

The Chess Club is “a club for both beginners and advanced, experienced players,” founder Gabe Jacobson explained. The club will hold chess tournaments, teaching sessions for new players, and teacher/student competitions.
Williston Book Club

The Williston Book Club (WBC) is a new club on campus. The club will periodically read books of the club’s choosing and then discuss them. “Reading will get you far in life,” founder Katie Lucchesi assured prospective club members.
Film Club

The film club is looking for members interested in filming, acting, or editing films. Experience is not required.
The Wildest Cats

This new club on campus aims to “bring school spirit back to Williston,” co-founder Marie Inarelli said. Members will work to foster Wildcat pride around campus.
Girl Up Williston Club

“Girl Up is a United Nations program dedicated to connecting girls all over the world,” the club’s flyer explains. The club will meet Monday nights at 6:15 in the Writing Center to “learn and discuss women’s rights around the world.”
Robotics Team

Club leaders describe the team as “magic moving metal.” The robotics team will work to design and build robots that are entered in robotics competitions. Robotics can be done either as an activity or as a part of the afternoon program.
Theater Without Walls

TWOW is an improv group on campus, that club leader Calvin Ticknor-Swanson described simply as: “freaking fantastic.”
WilliSTEM

Club leader James Kim describes the club as one that “researches…integrated disciplines of sciences to solve problems for [the] future.”
Academic Team
contact: Callum Poulin ([email protected])
Club leader Callum Poulin explained about the Academic Team, “We divide into two teams and members buzz in to answer questions and score points. The questions can be about anything from the third law of thermodynamics to the latest pop song on the radio.”
LiNK

Liberty in North Korea is a large, international advocacy group. The Williston chapter of LiNK works to raise money to aid North Korean refugees.
OWLI and Sustainable Life Club

These two separate clubs have been blended together this year. The Sustainable Life Club will work to make campus more green, and through this will contribute to the One World Leadership Institute.
Whale and Dolphin Conservation

This club will work to raise “enough money so that our school can adopt a whale,” club founder Maggie Cummings explained. “Whales deserve rights too,” Cummings said.
Community Service Club

The Community Service Club gives students the opportunity to help and give back to the local community. The club holds numerous fundraisers, participates in Habitat for Humanity, and helps out with various other organizations around the Easthampton area.
Diversity Club

“Stay tuned- a lot of exciting things will be happening with diversity,” faculty advisor Shelton said. The Diversity Club will work to embrace and cultivate diversity around campus and will plan this year’s diversity conference.
International Programs Committee

“This year, the school is drawing more of a distinction between international programming and diversity programming, while understanding there is natural overlap,” Mrs. Valine, Director of International Student Programs. “The IPC will be planning an array of activities and events on campus to more fully tap into the wealth of knowledge and resources of our international student body,” she explained.
