North Korea considered the world’s top nuclear threat
On February 9th, James R. Clapper, the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, warned the country that North Korea is the world’s most greatest nuclear threat. Just one day before the announcement, Obama called the leaders of Japan and South Korea and discussed the launching of North Korea’s satellite and the panic that proceeded.
According to Mr. Clapper, “Pyongyang continues to produce fissile material and develop a submarine-launched ballistic missile. It is also committed to developing a long-range nuclear-armed missile that’s capable of posing a direct threat to the United States, although the system has not been flight tested.” The United States is negotiating with South Korea to place an antiballistic missile system, known as THAAD, on the Korean Peninsula, but such an action is still subject to debate.

As businessman with an outsider image, Mr. Trump was long opposed by many Republicans and others. His success in the primary come as a shock to many who believe his success in the polls would not translate to actual votes. The win for Mr. Sanders amounted to a powerful rejection of Hillary Clinton, who has a deep connection with New Hampshire voters. But Mr. Sanders was successful in drawing support from a wide cross-section of voters. Overall, the result of the primary was largely unexpected. John H. Sununu, a former New Hampshire Governor, said, “By name, I only know five people supporting Donald Trump. So I say I cannot understand this electorate.”
