Thank you for reading! The Willistonian Editing Team
Welcome to the first edition of The Willistonian Online Edition! This is an exciting and historic time to be a reader, writer, or editor of our school newspaper, as we make The Willistonian accessible online for the first time ever. From now on, articles will be published more regularly so that we are able to bring you the most in-depth and recent news, whether it be taking place in our classrooms, sports fields, and art spaces, in the Easthampton and Pioneer Valley area, or even the world around us.
As you can see, we’ve developed a lot since our first publication in March 1881. The Willistonian is the oldest continuously published secondary school newspaper in the United States – a title we plan to keep, printing the highlight articles of the trimester three times a year. Once a mainly sports focused newspaper, The Willistonian is now a full service newspaper, featuring news from all over campus and beyond. The Willistonian has garnered several national awards for its publications.
