With the flowers budding and all the white and grey of the snow disappearing, color pants are budding for spring.
For girls, there are numerous ways to sport this trend no matter what your fashion is. If you are looking for a way to put a feminine twist on a tomboyish look, one option is green pants or shorts with a white ruffle top for a soft twist on a spring look. The effect of the fashion fad is bringing color and life back into wardrobes after a long dreary winter. The trend is so versatile that it comes in corduroys, skinny jeans, shorts, even boyfriend jeans, one of the most current, casual style of jeans.
Preppies to girly girls to sporty casual, the possibilities for outfit choices for this trend are endless. My favorite pairings are my maroon corduroy’s with a mint sweater and my soft coral pants matched with a casual blue button down. Not too dressy yet not too casual. When asked, Athena Yeung said she chose to wear color pants “because they are a nice change from the everyday blue jean look.” Others said that now that it’s spring it just makes sense to wear bright colors. Guys, too, have been found wearing this trend in every color from Nantucket red pants to blushing pink Chubbies (the most recent craze in men’s shorts brands). All in all, nothing says welcome spring more than reviving your look with bright colors.
