College football is back and it is better than ever. With three weeks of action under their belts, the teams are still heating up to make a run for the College Football Championship.

With the latest national rankings coming out, many teams made a big leap. The Alabama Crimson Tide remained at the number one spot. The Crimson Tide have won all three of their games outscoring their opponents 138-59, with their most impressive win coming against a strong Ole Miss team that was ranked 18th at the time.

Tim Rego, a new sophomore at Williston, believes that Alabama will run away with the title, “I have been a big fan of theirs since I was little. I think this year it is different because they do not have one main stud, they just have a team full of players that could get drafted into the NFL.”

Ranked at number two is The Ohio State Buckeyes, and following up at number three is the Louisville Cardinals.

Louisville, who started the season ranked 19th in the country, and has quickly climbed up the poll as they have been dominate so far this season. The Cardinals have won all three of their games as well, but have outscored their opponents by an unbelievable amount of 195-62. Their most impressive win came last week against the Florida State Seminoles, who were previously ranked number three in the country.

Louisville defeated FSU by a score of 63-20. This came as a major shock to many people. Billy Smith, a new junior a Williston, said, “I was in shock watching it. I love the Cardinals but even I couldn’t believe that they pounded Florida State like that. Lamar Jackson [Louisville quarterback] scored four touchdowns and threw for one also. I mean the guy is basically unstoppable.”

Finally, the team that has caused the most noise so far this season is the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers started off the season as an unranked team, and quickly changed that with a huge week one upset over the number five ranked Louisiana State Tigers.

Greg Iverson, a Wisconsin native and current sophomore at Williston, said, “I knew they would beat LSU, then they followed it up with wins over Georgia State and Akron. Corey Clement [Wisconsin Running back] is doing unbelievable this year, he has almost 200 yards in just the two games he’s played in. With Michigan State coming up next, I am very confident in the Badgers and I know they will prevail.”

The Badgers are now currently ranked number 11 in the country and are still looking to climb all the way up to the top.
