A Winter Storm did not stop the Bills from taking the win against the 49ers in Sunday night football action.
Sunday night (Dec. 1) the Buffalo Bills defeated the San Francisco 49ers 35-10. Bills quarterback Josh Allen scored a touchdown with six minutes remaining in the 3rd. The ball was passed back to Allen allowing him to run the ball into the end zone and bring the Bills on top for the win. Running back James Cook led the rushing attack with 107 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown.
With snowy and cold conditions, they were still able to come out strong and secure the win. Snow on the ground did not stop fans and players from showing up; 70,437 fans showed up at Highmark stadium for the game, according to BufflaoBills.com.
The bills are 10-2 on the season. They are having a great year this year with many big wins, beating the Miami Dolphins twice this season and defeating other difficult teams like the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bills were led by quarterback Josh Allen, running back James Cook, and Linebacker Matt Milano, who ended the snowy game with five tackles. The team has even earned themselves the AFC championship, the fifth consecutive year they have done so, and secured a spot for the playoffs, which start January 11.
The Bills are still fighting for the number one seed against the Kansas City Chiefs, with four regular season games left in the season. The win against the San Francisco 49ers was a crucial win allowing the bills to secure the playoff spot.
The team is no stranger to playing in snowstorms. In 2017, they defeated the Indianapolis Colts 13-7 on Dec. 10 in a game known as the “Snowbowl” due to the 16.7 inches of snow dumped into Highmark stadium. The Bills have done this before, whereas the 49ers home stadium, Levi’s stadium, is in sunny Santa Clara, California, putting them at a disadvantage in any bad weather.
Rylan Shibley, a senior boarder on the football team, thinks the Bills are having a great season.
“The Bills are one of the best teams in the league right now, especially with a very solid defense and offensive players like Dion Dawkins to help out Josh Allen,” he said.
Rylan thinks the Bills are outstanding and will continue to dominate and have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.
“They’ve shown it every week that they are a dangerous team,” he said. Rylan is committed to play football at the University Of Rhode Island next year.
Joeseph Killcommons, a senior boarding student, also thinks the bills have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.
“Their offense has the firepower, and their defense is legit,” said Joseph, the kicker on the Williston football team. “If they stay healthy and keep playing like they have been, they could totally make a deep run.”
Williston’s own football team had similar goals as the Bills, to take it all the way, and that’s what they did. They secured a playoff spot and won the NEPSAC championship with a 42 – 26 win against Cheshire Academy on November 16.
Rylan is ecstatic over his team’s performance.
“l couldn’t be happier with the way everyone on our team played this year to make history at Williston,” he said. “It was the most connected team I’ve ever been a part of, and I think a lot of people could see that when we were on the field. My hope is that Coach Beaton can keep the momentum going into the upcoming season.”

Great article and I enjoyed how you compared the Bills season to Willistons season.
